Position Title: Controller - RCBS

Work Location: RCBS is based out of Oroville, CA

The Controller manages the overall financial control and accounting operations of the RCBS plant. The Controller is responsible for collecting and analyzing financial data and cost reports, preparing financial statements, maintaining databases, and performing audits and risk assessments.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct monthly close including journal entries, analyze budget variances, labor efficiencies, and assess cost-cutting opportunities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports
  • Establish and maintain a standard cost system
  • Prepare quarterly warranty and inventory reserve accruals
  • Lead inventory cycle count process
  • Assist in capital projects by helping to develop costs and cost savings for new equipment, calculate returns on investments and write capital budget requests as needed
  • Provide guidance to other functions and perform ad hoc duties
Experience and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA or CMA preferred
  • 5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge and application of GAAP
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, advanced Excel skills preferred
    • Pivot Tables, VLookup, Macros, etc.
